It was one of those emails that aren't real, the first time around, I just couldn't stop staring. Then it registered and I managed to get up from the computer and tell David and daughter Patti but it was an hour before I got it into my head that perhaps I should let the rest of the family know: How to Make a Red Hat, which was written at the request of my young friend, Michelle, for her Mom's 50th birthday bash (and it was a definite Saturday-with-the-Girls-and-everybody-in-hats-for-tea-and-strawberries celebration) has won a place in the Tehachapi Community Theatre's Third Annual 10 Minute Playwrights Festival!
There are nine plays in the evening, which will preview November 3, followed by performances November 4 & 5, with a matinee on Sunday, November 6. They haven't put it on their web site, yet, but it's a very impressive web site and I'm sure it will show up there soon. Their web address is http://tctonstage.com if you want to take a look.
I'm kind of extra-pleased with myself because, in spite of all the excitement and dealing with laundry, I actually managed to write one-and-a-half whole pages this afternoon!
