This has been quite a week. If you’ve looked at the Calendar page, you’ve seen the tip of the iceberg. By the time David & I found out about WonderCon, it was the last possible day to pre-register for Professional Accreditation. David faxed his information (That Burroughs Guy) and I mailed mine, just before the post office closed. This afternoon, my paperwork arrived in the mail – but nothing for David! I was shocked and he was (very quietly) obviously not happy. So I sent an email thanking them and wondering if David was on the list. (The place is so filled that, this year, the professionals aren’t allowed to bring along any guests.)
And, lo! As I was about to put dinner on the table, Heather, the Professional Registration person, called on the phone to assure me that David’s paperwork had been sent and should be arriving tomorrow. She told me that if there was any problem she would take care of it on Friday. Profound relief – Friday’s the only day David can be there and this started out being for him, since this is the 100th anniversary year for Edgar Rice Burroughs and JOHN CARTER opened today and it’s a perfect opportunity for him to get public notice.(We’re going to have to wait until Monday to get to the movie, what with the play and me continuing to attempt catching up with myself.)
I just took a look at the WonderCon schedule (this is not a link, so copy & paste): www.comic-con.org/wc/.
